MIPA is excited to announce the eight candidates for the MIPA Student Journalist of the Year award.

- Andrea Gordon – North Kansas City High School
- Sophie Nedelco – Notre Dame de Sion
- Madison Russell – Oak Park High School
- Cassandra Allen- Raymore-Peculiar High School
- Maggie Knox – St. Teresa’s Academy
- Lindsay Alfermann – Washington High School
These students completed a challenging portfolio and application process. The judge is currently critiquing their work to find a winner.
These exceptional students will also be recognized on the University of Missouri–Columbia campus during J-Day, Wednesday, April 6, at the awards ceremony.
