Thursday’s Tips No. 8

#1. This came across my radar this week. You may notice some familiar names and faces. Great tips to help us and our students who get that “block” and need a little push…Got Writer’s Block? 14 Writers Share How They Fight the Blank Screenlogo_poynter http://www.poynter.org/latest-news/mediawire/257688/got-writers-block-14-writers-share-how-they-fight-the-blank-screen/

#2. This is pretty good. Some tips hold more meaning for me than others, but to each their own! 13 Things Your Camera Wishes You Knew http://improvephotography.com/2092/13-things-your-camera-wishes-you-knew/

#3. Check this out! Helpful for our photography students in Photo Classes, Yearbook, Newspaper, etc. http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/2013/05/21/24-camera-features-every-beginner-photographer-must-memorize/
#4. If you use or teach Photoshop, here’s a fun place for tips, tricks, tutorials and more… http://www.photoshopcafe.com

#5. This site http://newspagedesigner.org is full of newspaper design ideas and examples. I literally can go here, just hit the slideshow, and get absorbed by it. Even though I haven’t taught “print” (let’s be honest the lines are blurring: CONVERGENCE is the key now) journalism in two years, I still love design. I love looking at new ideas and innovations. Can’t help myself!
